Title: Cost-based social rental housing in Europe - The cases of Austria, Denmark and Finland |
Overview: This research explores the operation of cost-rental housing in three countries in Europe which arguably have the most developed cost rental systems; Austria, Denmark and Finland. Through a case study approach utilising surveys with housing federations along with interviews, the research provides insight into good practice for managing cost-rental in the medium to longer term. This includes learnings on regulation, legal obligations, allocations, funding, reinvestment, rents and planning for unexpected costs. |
